Eric Haase’s Grand Slam Leads to a Tigers Extra-Inning Win

The Tigers were down 5-1 in the top of the 9th inning yesterday, down to their final two outs when Eric Haase came to the plate with the bases loaded. When his at bat was over, the bases were no longer loaded and the game was tied:

After tying the game in the ninth, the game went into extras. The Tigers eventually won the game on a Miguel Cabrera RBI single in the 11th.

For Haase, it was his 17th homer of the season, putting him in a tie for the team lead with Jonathan Schoop.

Haase has been a must play for AJ Hinch. When he is not catching, Hinch will occasionally use Haase in the outfield or DH.
