Grumpig: Pokémon Profile

Grumpig is a Psychic-type pig Pokémon. It has large ears and a pig snout. It is first introduced in the Generation III Pokémon Games. The name Grumpig containing the word “pig” is an obvious dead giveaway on the creators’ intentions.

It is black and purple in color and has three black pearls on its body. These pearls are said to amplify its psychic powers.

Its strange dance captivates its opponents and is said to be manipulative.

Being a Psychic-type Pokémon, Grumpig is weak against Bug, Ghost, and Dark-type attacks while resistant to Fighting and Psychic-type moves. It can learn moves such as Psybeam and Psychic, making it a good one to potentially have on your team.

Grumpig is a stage one Pokémon and evolves from the basic Pokémon, Spoink when it reaches level 32.

It is not known to evolve past the stage one type at this time.

Grumpig Pokémon Cards

There are currently nine different kinds of this Pokémon card throughout the series of the trading card game.

It comes in a few unique card with some bizarre images to reflect how, well, bizarre this Pokémon really is. Some of the cards are actually pretty strong with HP and attacks over 100.

Overall, it is always a good idea to have a Psychic-type Pokémon with you in the video game series. Given the availability of Spoink, evolving to Grumpig is a fairly obtainable Pokémon, for a type that can be rare to find. Given how strange of a Pokémon this is, it is fair to wonder if it is maybe a distant cousin of another weird-o Pokémon; Drowzee!
