Due to injuries to Matt Boyd and Spencer Turnbull, the Tigers are looking thin in their starting rotation and could use some help.
Enter Matt Manning.
Manning was the 9th overall pick in the 2016 MLB draft and will now make his MLB debut against Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Angels.
Manning is the Tigers third ranked prospect and the #18 prospect in baseball.
Matt Manning has great size for a pitcher and offers a plus fastball that has reached triple digits on occasion. If Manning can pitch well, he can stay in this Tigers rotation for a long time, potentially taking the spot of Jose Urena once all pitchers are healthy.
