Pokémon Profile: Cacturne

Cacturne is a Grass/Dark-Type Pokémon that is part cactus and part scarecrow. It was introduced in the Generation III games Ruby and Sapphire for the Game Boy Advance.

It has a green body with pyramid like spikes that resemble a cactus. It also has a hat like head top that resembles that of a scarecrow. The prefix of the name cac is likely for cactus while turne is likely resembling nocturnal, playing off the Pokémon’s dark-type category.

It is weak against Fighting, Flying, Poison, Bug, Fire, Ice, and Fairy-Type moves. It is resistant to Ground, Ghost, Water, Grass, Electric, and Dark-Type moves.

It can learn some strong moves, such as Pin Missile.

Cacturne is a stage one Pokémon and evolves in the video games at level 32. It evolves from Cactea and goes from just a grass-type to a grass and dark-type.

Cacturne Pokémon Cards

Being around since Generation III, there are a large number of cards out there for this Pokémon.

There are a few different variations, including a dark, grass, and fighting-type card.

Fighting Card
Grass Card

Overall, a pretty decent Pokémon that relies on ins offensive abilities. Evolving at level 32 however, you really have to be committed to it on your team if you want the evolved Cacturne.

It also kind of looks like the maskless Skull Kid from the Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, no?
